This section is under construction and will remain in that state. Its content is not yet decided. It may contain photographs of my dog, the woman I love, see julietstewart.com, or Nyack’s Hudson River views. It may contain references to opinions won (many) or lost (few), with an explanation of the issues decided; or it may contain references to public information sites which, if used as expected, should prompt visitors who attempt to do legal self-help to return to my law office, or that of another competent attorney, once they realize how confusing or subtle the nuances of legal reasoning can be, or how daunting the arcania of legal procedures or legal drafting can be.

There is an expertise that lawyers possess which makes it rational to pay reasonable attorneys fees to a good attorney to insure that your business enterprise is properly structured and your contracts are well done. Working with an attorney in advance of a transaction or the formation of a new enterprise can put you in the best position to avoid future problems and to minimize the risks of the kind of catastrophe that often results when you wait too long to get good legal advice. The costs of a complex litigation to recover big losses does not compare favorably with the costs of the advance consultation to avoid them.
